The Language of Angels: A Review of the Numerology Book, "Angel Numbers"

I initially avoided this book because I wanted to learn “real numerology” and not the “love and light, new age spiritual” stuff. I read a lot of great, insightful, and informative books on numerology, but none went past the 99 mark, which I could understand since most philosophies in numerology say that the actual last master number is 22 and everything else we come up with is simply expanding on the numbers “0”- 22. After you get the basics down, however, it's natural to want to explore the interpretations of the numbers beyond the original masters.

Years later, I’m watching a tarot reader, and she suggests the book “Angel Numbers,” which she was reading from to help her interpret the number sequences she was seeing in the reading. This piqued my interest as I wanted to improve my own readings and personal life overall. Plus, I was constantly seeing triple digits and odd number synchronicities like 1234, 321, and the infamous 11:11. The excerpt that she read from the book was #728 Be Open: Get out of your own way. Ideas, inspirations, and messages are coming to you in order to serve your highest good…I didn’t need to hear any more. I went online to see where I could buy the book, then made my purchase. It was well worth it.

The author, Mystic Michaela, introduces readers to angel numbers by first explaining what they are, how to interpret them for yourself, and the best practices when recording and reflecting on your numbers. This is about 5% of the book; the remaining 95% is the “Numbers Codex.” This is where Michaela interprets the angel numbers 0-999 and provides specific steps you can implement to reap the potential of each number in your own life. [Because] the universe responds to you more effectively when you show it you are listening, and there is no better way to do that than to take the messages of angel numbers and incorporate them into daily life.” Michaela calls it the language of the angels and that learning this mode of communication builds a stronger relationship with your spirit guides and your higher self.

One great takeaway from this book is the important difference between a personal number sequence that’s a special, unique language between you and your angels, and number sequences that are general, easy to recognize, memorize, and have a universal meaning attached to them, like 555 or 222. Michaela explains that “your angels have a personalized style, and when you heighten your bond with them, you’ll become aware of it.” Think of numbers like 205, 362, and 727. These random numbers are unique enough that if you kept seeing them, it would be easy to notice the personalized synchronicity. In this book, these personalized number sequences are called “angel wink” numbers. These are numbers that your spirit guides tailored specifically for you so that you know that they are with you. They could be encouraging you, trying to get your attention for an important reason, or simply just saying hello. I thought this conceptual explanation for this phenomenon is spot on with the sweetest term of an angel wink. Who wouldn't want to receive an angel wink?
